Put on Christ #yearintheword

For now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.–Romans 13:11,14

Jesus is coming soon! We should live in the light of His soon return. Our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. This is a reference to the salvation of our bodies at the event commonly called the rapture. That day will be a day of rewards for those who have put on Christ in their daily living.

Every day we put on attire that is suitable to what we may be doing whether business, casual, or professional. To put on Christ is to suite up with His character and His power. The world needs to see us emulating the character and power of Christ It’s not necessarily what your saying on the job but how your living on the job that is a witness to others.

Every day you can put on Christ because His nature is in you by virtue of the new birth. His Spirit within you enables you to walk in love and handle the pressures that are thrown at you every day. Be conscious of the Christ within and you will not be thinking about catering to the demands of the flesh. Christ means, “anointed one” and He has anointed you to live above your situation with a disposition of peace and joy the world can’t take from you! So let Christ shine through your disposition this week!
