Victorious! #yearintheword

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.—2 Corinthians 2:14-15

The work Jesus accomplished for every man, woman, and child on the face of this planet brings us into a place of dominion over the adversary of humanity, Satan. Jesus shed His blood on the Cross of Calvary 2000 years ago secures for everyone complete and total victory over the devil. The blood of Jesus speaks on our behalf to God the Father that we are righteous before Him and it speaks to the devil that He no longer has claim on humanity.

When Jesus died He went into Hell to preach to all the Old Testament believers who were waiting for the promise of Messiah in Abraham’s bosom (a place of comfort). He led the captives out of the gates of Hell into the presence of the Father on the day of His resurrection. He led them in triumph over Satan. Today when a believer in Jesus dies He ascends into heaven and triumphs over death! In addition Jesus leads us in triumph over the power of sin’s grip in our live. He whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

People don’t like the idea of Hell, it’s not “socially correct”. Yet Jesus preached on Hell and it is a place to be delivered from. Thank God I don’t have to go to Hell, I am heaven bound because of Jesus blood! Lets carry that fragrance of victory to our generation and share the good news that Jesus is Lord over death, he’ll, and the grave! And the life we live today can be one of total victory in every area of our lives because He leads us in triumph!
