Hid in Christ #yearintheword

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.—Colossians 3:1,3-4

Our relationship with God our Father is very clearly articulated through out the letters of the Apostle Paul. We have the same relationship with the Father as Jesus! Christ seated at God’s right hand means a place of spiritual authority, the highest in the Universe and that authority has been given to believers in Jesus.

Our life is hid in Christ. When we seek first the kingdom of God the Spirit of God begins to reveal who we are as the Sons of God. We discover God’s grace—that Jesus has ushered us into a position that did not require anything on our behalf except faith. Faith in what Jesus has done and faith in what the Spirit can do in us and through us.

One thing that is hidden that will not be revealed until Jesus comes for His church is the redemption of our physical bodies. Just as God has inscribed in a book your DNA before you were born, God has also reserved for you a new glorified body. When Jesus returns to Jerusalem, Israel to set up His kingdom we will be coming with Him and sharing in His glory as the Sons of God. That truth is conveyed through out the New Testament and has amazed me for the past 30 years! Certainly God has good things in store for us! The best is yet to come!
