Sent ones #yearintheword

Pray that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you. Pray, too, that we will be rescued from wicked and evil people, for not everyone is a believer. But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.–2 Thessalonians 3:1-3 NLT

Today was a big day for our family as we sent off Lauren to Lima, Peru early this morning. Her mother and I are very proud of the woman of God she has become. She has always been passionate for missions and carried a compassion for the poor and oppressed. Now she will be assisting Hearts in Action in Lima, Peru. Our prayer for her is God’s full provision, divine protection (my daughter has big angels you know!) and God’s power to fulfill the will of God.

Let me encourage you to pray that God will use your children to carry His word to the next generation. The safest place to be is in the will of God, there you will find His provision, protection and power for victorious living. Pray also for our missionaries throughout the world especially Living Word Missions. You can find out the impact they are making on the missions field by clicking here.

Paul the Apostle was a missionary on the front lines and His prayer request holds true for our missionaries on the front lines. Here is what we need to pray: (1) an open door for the Gospel which also means provision, (2) supernatural protection, (3) and God’s power that quickens and strengthens them to fulfill His will. Of course you should recognize to that you are on a mission as one of God”s sent ones to share God’s love in every arena of your life. So pray this over yourself as well!
