In it to win it! #yearintheword

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops.—2 Timothy 2:3-6

If you want to win in life and be effective for God consider the qualities necessary to win. Paul gives three great examples we can apply to life and ministry—the soldier, the athlete, and the farmer. A soldier in battle requires resolve and focus to overcome and achieve the objective to bring the enemy under his control. An athlete must discipline himself for the race if he is going to obtain a prize. A farmer is hard working—sowing, watering, and harvesting the seed with great patience.

Remember these qualities will bring success in your life, ministry and your vocation as well. How focused are you to win life’s battles? How disciplined are you to be the best at what God called you to do? How patient are you to stick with God’s process of sowing and reaping? Good questions to ask yourself because they all will become indicators of your future! I am in it to win it, and I am willing to apply the qualities necessary to win! I am sure you are too!
