Grace! #yearintheword

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.—Titus 2:11-13

God’s amazing grace has opened a whole new door to abundant living for me! One definition of grace is God’s power in our weakness to perform what we can’t perform ourselves. Here the scripture says that grace teaches us to give our very best in response to what Jesus did—He gave His life, His very best. There is a proper response when one receives a gift. Having received the free gift of salvation we should respond with a lifestyle of praise and thanksgiving!

Salvation is something we have experienced (past), continue to experience (present) and will experience something that is exhilarating to the imagination (future) that is the redemption of our bodies! Grace, God’s power beyond our ability is something we can tap into everyday so that we can live exemplary lives of power and victory. It should be a clear and bold witness to those we come in contact with, we are just different, independent of the worldly environment we live in.

Let His grace work in you and perfect all of those undone things in your life. Grace changes us from the inside out and it creates new desires that come from the heart of the Father. We should live life as eternal optimists because when we look into the future we are cashing in these sinful bodies for new glorified bodies. Our future retirement is actually a “refirement” and a placement in the lord’s kingdom on the earth. The future is bright because God’s grace has appeared to us!
