We shall see Him #yearintheword

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.—1 John 3:1-3

One of Jesus last words to the disciples at the last supper was, “I am coming to receive you to myself, that where I am you will be also.” It is our blessed hope as children of God that we will be glorified just like Jesus has been glorified. That means our bodies our going to get a make over, a major overhaul. 1 Corinthians 15 is the resurrection chapter that describes the nature of the resurrection as well as the translation of end time believers who will be alive when Jesus comes for his church. Could we be that generation? Can you imagine the global impact of hundreds of millions of Christians simply disappearing from the face of the planet.

We have this hope, which is an expectation that motivates us to live holy and be ready for his return. We shall give account for how we have lived our lives and enter into His kingdom with either bountiful or meager rewards. Live with eternity in mind. Choose to live by the LOVE command every day. Choose to walk by FAITH every day. Rejoice everyday in the supernatural HOPE of His soon return. Faith, hope, and love are the marks that distinguish us as Christians and make us a clear witness to our generation. Be ready to give account of the hope that you have—share HIS story!

We are going to see Him as He is! Here is a glimpse of what we will see with our eyes when Jesus returns for His church…

“One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters!” (Revelation 1:13-15)

We can say like Job, “For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God, Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!” Oh how my heart yearns within me! I want to see the one who died for me!
